Thanksgiving - IF

I might be stretching the concept a bit far, but I am THANKFUL that I have finally completed my Holiday Poster Competition entry (at 11:30pm last night). One might go farther to say that this scene shows some of the many things to be thankful for on Thanksgiving - friends, family, song, reasonably good weather, trees...yada yada.

Had I been more organized I would have worked elements of the peice a little more (my husband consistenly comments on the size of the cat, but I like how it looks like he is looking at the dog as a potential meal), but each time I do this it's good practice. As web designer I so used to working in Illustrator and PhotoShop that doing some hands on painting is kind of fun...thought it would be nice if my skill level matched the vision in my head! :-) I tend to like really bright and happy colors, which means I probably won't win (just like last year), but it's not about winning. Well, not really...

Well Miss Jillian, you've got a real good shot at this! I just LOVE it. It's sooooo much fun! Everything about it is terrific but I especially like the cropped view and your choice of colors. WELL WELL DONE!
