And the Winners Is...

Well, it's been a while since I last posted and there's been a lot going on. So here is the first post of many (or at least a few). My previous post showed my entry for the Frederick Holiday Poster Competition. The opening reception was held at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center on the evening of November 29 - along with the Scents & Sweet Competition. Though I was disappointed that my friend Ellen did not win, I was excited about who did.

Mick Williams did a wonderful peice (though my favorite is the one he did last year), and after paying his dues he has finally won. I best remember his entry from a few years ago that had a wonderfully rendered cow in Baker Park. It was truly awesome and my friend and fought over who was going to steal it (since we couldn't afford to buy it) and take it home.

Great entries were also submitted by Ellen (a previous winner) and her granddaughter Karina.
