Ah, a romantic overnight stay in scenic Hagerstown. I will admit, at first I wasn't really excited about the idea. What happened is this: Dave won the "closest to the pin" competition (under dubious circumstances I am told) at a golf tournament, and the prize was a one night stay at the Hagerstown Clarion. I e-mailed a few friends that had lived there, and they couldn't really tell me what to do. It turns out we found a fabulous second hand book store, had a fanastic dinner at the Bavarian restaurant, played some good pool at the CanCun Cantina then watched the local cowboy nightlife sore into full swing. I hadn't realized line dancing was so very big. All in all, a pleasant surprise. And we quite liked the "greeters" at Barefoot Bernies - they are pictured below.
