(Suddenly) Sorta Single: Day 30 of 275

The Best Birthday of them ALL!

I can't believe Dave's been gone for a month. But enough about that...this year I had the best birthday ever (ok, didn't quite top the one when I turned 6 and had a Barbie theme, or the surprise (un)sweet 16, or...never mind, I'm sure you get that it was really good).

First, the guys at work actually agreed to paint pottery with me on Friday. A HHFD with an artistic direction instead of a joystick. My clever husband sent me a card from that land far away describing how he hid my present IN MY OWN HOUSE (this tells you how much I dig through his stuff, or maybe how thoroughly I clean). True brilliance there - the necklace from Amber Coast was super fantastic. My present from Canada came on time so I had more gifts to open. Then, Tauras kindly shared his birthday tour of the wild good brewery with me (Jen was my driver - how wrong is that?) which spilled into a very late evening full of fun people. Saturday the clever Kath (and Josh) threw me a pink princess party at my house where I was able to indulge in one of my favorite pastimes - no holds barred make up your own questions boys vs girls Pictionary!

How does this fit in with Dave being gone? Because really if Dave had not been away, none of this would have happened. Everyone pulled together to make sure I wasn’t alone on my birthday – which is the very best present of them all.
