Canadian Turkey Day

Forget that fact that most Canadians celebrated Thanksgiving on the 8th - having it later created a certain kind of mystique about the event for Americans. Or maybe just confusion. Amazingly, the weather was fantastic and the party "totally awesome, eh?". Combining it with Jen's birthday just made it even better - especially since she contributed to some of the top moments of the night.

Here are some of the highlights:

• Evert's "Autumn Russion" making ability - apparently bright orange liqueur needs to be spilled ALL OVER my kitchen
• Team Toque (for you Americans it is pronounced "tuke" and is a knit hat for winter) pulling ahead of Team Canucks in Canadian Jeopardy to win the coveted bottle of Crown Royal AND Canada-opoly.
  
• The Canadian Jeopardy questions written by Jen and Ellen, apparently while drinking. I loved the one about soft core porn...
  
• Brenna breaking the toilet (he he - she swears it wasn't her)
• Jen ignoring that the toilet was broke and actually OVERFLOWING it
• Me fixing the toilet issue while the guys sat around drinking
• Jen walking through one of our screen doors at full speed and knocking it out. It's a genetic trait, her dad did it at the SAME party last year.
  
• The "I love you more than..." game the ladies were playing on the deck, while the guys were by the fire grunting. There is some SERIOUS love there.
  
• Jen almost setting my table centerpiece on fire during her gift opening.
  
• Steve falling off his chair - for no apparent reason.
