Anniversary

This weekend Dave and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. What did we do, you may ask? Why, we watched the totally awesome movie 300 (very romantic movie indeed, with all that blood and swordplay), then made a traditional Irish dinner of corn beef and cabbage. Yes, we had Guinness along with it. Yes, I am actually Scottish.

Due to a quirk of fate (and somewhat poor planning on my part), I happen to share my wedding anniversary with my parents. This is how they celebrated their 46 years together :

Kind of holds our anniversary down and kicks it like a bully. Taken at my favorite restaurant in Wickininish, mom and dad (seated closest to the window my mom is wearing pink and my dad is the guy who doesn't look like Santa - sorry Merle) spent their meal trying to spot one of the 22,000 whales migrating back to the Bering Sea. I love the fact that my mom has the wrong date set in her camera - gives me a sense of peace that some things never change.

Next year Dave and I are definitley going back to the place we got married. Ha. Take that mom and dad.
