In my eyes, the 4th Annual DeShazer Canadian Thanksgiving Party was a big success. On Sunday we have a record 3 authentic Canadians attend (Mike, Tony and myself shown above holding the lovely cake brought by Yvonne) - as well as many fun and tolerant Americans. Dave went all out to honor my birth city of Calgary by wearing his full Stampede regalia. Now that's love.

Team Byrne won the controversial "Canadian Trivia Quiz" (controversial as some questions initiated heated debate), taking home (rather than drinking, sigh) a bottle of Crown Royal. Team Canadia came in second (quite terrible considering they cheated by googling many of the answers) winning a lovely baseball style maple leaf t-shirt, and the Canucks followed in third place receiving a lovely Canada mug. For anyone who would like to check it out, many of the questions were taken from The Great Canadian Trivia Shootout. Go ahead, see how well YOU do.
Thanks to all who attended and helped alleviate my feelings of homesickness! And remember - next year's theme will be "Calgary Stampede" so you have 12 months to collect your cowboy gear.

Yes Brandi - I am so very proud. Let's hope everyone else has the same level of self-discipline!
That cake was real cool....congrats on converting your hubby into a real Canadian cowboy...and let's admit the Canucks are gooooood looking. Keep up the great parties...perhaps some of your Cdn relatives will make it next year!
