Somehow I pulled it off - I managed to surprise Dave for his 40th birthday (with the help of many fantastic and slightly warped friends). After an afternoon of golfing, the man of the hour returned to his home to find it filled with friendly faces and much mocking of his new status in life. The party truly got rolling at 6:20pm (when the guest of honor arrived) - and the last hold outs left at 12:40 am - by all accounts a rip roaring party.
There were many great moments, but some highlights were:
- The "Perfect Date" doll brough by Wil - a combination blow up doll and beer holder. Dave was devastating when she popped...
- The beautiful sheep cake made especially for the occassion by Kathy at the Clustered Spires Bakery...
- The viewing of the "Birthday Video Memories" I had secretly filmed before and during the birthday bash (I will have to figure out how to load that somewhere).
