There are some benefits to always having your camera with you. A couple of days ago I was asked to help take photos of the many activities going on for "Take Your Child to Work Day" (known confusingly as TYCWD). One of the really cool things I got to watch was the K-9 patrol demonstration. It started with a nice officer talking about how the dogs are trained and answering questions. Then, oh then, he brought out his drug detecting dog for a demonstration. It was a beautiful black German Shepherd who responded to commands in, of course, German. Wow, did that dog find the bag of hash FAST. It made me wonder if it's part of the job requirement to always keep a baggie in the car... just to keep the pup on his toes. And can they write that off on their taxes? And does Mr. Canine ever gets to take his puppies to work to show them what good 'ol dad does for a living?
