Hello all. The reception is over and the hangover has begun (just kiddin'). As you can see, I did not win but I am ok with that. My work is always so different from everyone else. Dave says next year I need to do less vibrant colors and make it REALLY big. he he. At any rate, I have included a pic of the winner and the work both Dave and I thought should have won (art being so subjective an all). There was a lot of great stuff and Frederick is full of very talented people.
Some highlights of the evening:
- free wine :-)
- a signed poster from last year's winning artist (nepotism is a good thing!)
- Karina (Ellen's grandaughter) meeting the mayor and telling her about how she ran for class president
- some really kick butt Gingerbread house designs (though I think Russ is right - they should let you eat them - the "most" eaten house at the end of the night should be declared the winner)
There's always next year. Toodles.

I think I'm going to agree with you and Dave on this one...based on the three entries I've seen (those would be the tree you've posted pictures of).
I look like a MONSTER! Get that photo off the blog!!!!
