Venician Blinds

Whew...almost could not post since I could not figure out the Italian keyboard (also cannot find the apostrophe key). OK, so I have names for each place. So far I have Bohemian Rhapsody and Vienna Brat Worst...long story but while I love the former, the latter and I did not get along so well. All in all, still a good trip. I did talk Dave into seeing the Hofburg Vienna orchestra perform in the Muziekhouse, accompanied by selected vocalists. Picture Dave listening to opera if you will...pure hilarity. Wish I could post pictures. That will have to come later...

Venice, despite the heat and the crowds and the prices, is amazing, I just feel so lucky to be here and to experience this. Dave is over the top happy. The minute we left the train station, he began snapping pictures, when I was just interested in figuring out how to get down the grand canal and find our hotel. Our hotel....ahhh, finally civilization. I have used a hair dryer for the first time in three weeks. All the girls will understand how this could be considered heaven. And our alarm clock was some strange man singing prayers through each combo (or square) at about 7am. Weird but entertaining.

So many more bizarre stories that will have to wait. For now I must have a spritz in the palazzo while deciding what back alley pizzeria we will eat at tonight.

And for Ellen...chaos has ensued multiple times. Be proud.

Ciao
